Getting Started

The MCUXpresso for VS Code extension supports several starting points depending on the NXP software repository you plan to develop with. Each guide below provides the full flow (installation, importing a repository, building, flashing, and debugging) for a particular ecosystem.

Available Getting Started guides

• Getting Started with MCUXpresso SDK - build, flash, and debug an MCUXpresso SDK example on the i.MX RT1060 evaluation kit (MIMXRT1060-EVKB). The same flow applies to any other MCUXpresso SDK board.

• Getting Started with Zephyr - the Zephyr lab pack including an overview and a detailed step-by-step lab targeting the FRDM-MCXN947 board.

• Getting Started with Application Code Hub - evaluate curated NXP demo applications from the Application Code Hub using FRDM hardware.
