Overview#
The pit_scout project is a simple demonstration program of the SDK PIT driver for synchronous output. It sets the PIT hardware block to a periodic rate of 1 second. Synchronous output when PIT counter equals the modolus value. Synchronous output is set to toggle mode. After reset, SYNC_OUT is low-level, when PIT counter equals MODULO value firstly, SYNC_OUT toggles to high-level and keep high-level until PIT counter equal MODULO value next time, SYNC_OUT toggles to low-level.Use the Oscilloscope to measure the signal of XBARA_OUT10, the sync_out waveform will be outputted.

Connect J8 pin2 and pin3 Connect J6 pin1 and pin2 Connect J5 pin1 and pin2

Connect J11 pin2 and pin3
Debugger setting:
Connect J13 pin 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8
Board settings
No special settings are required.
Prepare the Demo
Connect USB cable between the host PC and the J12 USB port on the target board. It setups Multilink and COM port in PC device manager.
Open a serial terminal with the following settings:
115200 baud rate
8 data bits
No parity
One stop bit
No flow control
Download the program to the target board with Multilink debug configuration.
Launch the debugger in your IDE to begin running the demo.
Running the demo
When the demo runs successfully, the following message is displayed in the terminal:

Use the Oscilloscope to measure the signal of XBARA_OUT8(GF4), the sync_out waveform will be outputted.
The LED(D7), which is connnected to GF4, will blink.
